The Power BI October 2023 Feature Summary was shared last Tuesday (even though the blog confusingly seems to indicate it was released a week prior). Anyway, we have some nice updates this time around, including: the ability to create a customized deployment pipeline of 2-10 stages (10 seems a bit extreme!), the ability to create Deduplication rules for composite models on Power BI Datasets and Analysis Services which gives you more control around how name conflicts are handled when connecting to multiple source datasets, and we’ve been told about various On-object Interaction Updates if that’s the formatting method you prefer.
For those who may be interested, I’ll be presenting at the Oxford Microsoft Data Platform Group next Wednesday at 6:30 GMT, demonstrating an End-to-End Solution in Microsoft Fabric for Data Engineers. I’ll be followed by Adam Buckley who’s going to show how to “Query your Azure SQL Data using Natural Language”. It’s a hybrid event, so you can join either in person or on Teams. Hope to see some of you there!
